Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Bijare is a Kurdish digital library for reading and listening to books. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
• Account: your email address and password. The password is stored securely by our sign-in provider and we never see it. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile photo from Google. • Your library: books you save, your folders, books you mark as finished, your highlights and notes, and your ratings, so they stay with your account. • Subscription: your plan, when it ends, and a record of each payment (plan, amount, status and payment reference). We do not collect your location, contacts or advertising identifiers. The app has no advertising and no third-party analytics.
Information kept only on your phone
Your reading positions and bookmarks, text size and page colour, your learning streak, the books you open and play (used to show what is trending), and books you download are stored on your phone and are not sent to us.
How we use it
• To create your account and sign you in. • To keep your library, highlights and ratings available on any phone you sign in on. • To check whether your subscription is active and unlock books. • To show each book's average rating. Your own ratings are never shown to other people. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Services we use
We share only what each service needs to run the app: • Supabase stores our database, handles sign-in and hosts the book files. • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google. • Wayl processes subscription payments. You enter your card or wallet details on Wayl’s own payment page, where they are handled by Wayl and your bank. We never receive them, and we never store them.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, your library, highlights, notes, ratings and subscription, and removes that data from your phone. Records of past payments are kept without being linked to you, because payment records must be kept for accounting.
Security
Your information travels over encrypted connections, and access to each account's data is limited to that account and to the systems that run the app.
Children
Bijare is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For important changes, we will also let you know in the app.
